Many of our certificate and degree programs are stackable to our Associate degree (AABA) and Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA) majors, saving students tuition and time to graduation. Our 8-week courses can propel you to complete your associate within 16 months and your bachelor’s within 32 months.

RDC & LANL Support Northern Business Students

Regional Development Corporation’s (RDC) Workforce and Educational Training program together with Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) awarded $40,000 in scholarships to Northern’s Business program. Announcing the new Olivia Martinez Endowed Scholarship

Donations honor the late Olivia Martinez’ commitment to education. Thanks to a generous $30,000 donation from the Greater Espanola Valley Community Development Corporation (GEVCDC) and an additional $20,000 from the late Olivia Martinez’ husband Elias Martinez, her son Chris Martinez and daughter Lydia Torres, the Northern Scholarship Fund initated a new endowed scholarship in 2024 for degree-seeking students.

The ACBSP-accredited AABA is a terminal degree for graduates who intend to enter the workplace with a fundamental knowledge of economics, accounting, management, business technology, and marketing. Designed for students who want to pursue a business career at the technical level or as a first step to transfer to one of our baccalaureate (BBA) majors.

The Associate in Office Administration is a terminal degee provideing coursework necessary for employment above entry level in secretarial fields in the private and governmental sectors. Curriculum includes QuickBooks, Introduction to Business, Business Communications, Business Math and Introduction to Microsoft Project. Tuition support is available to qualified students through NM Workforce Connection.

For those already working in business with some background managing projects, or even if you are just starting out, the Project Management certificate is a perfect choice to gain the skills you need to advance in your career. Enjoy a compact, five-course, fully online curriculum, that also prepares students to take the PMP© Project Management Professional Exam to become a certified project manager.

The MOS is a fast online program focused on office computer skills essential for today’s workplace, and to pass the Microsoft Office Specialist exam. Our five-course program is ideal for current and aspiring professionals in all fields, and all classes transfer toward an Associate in Office Administration. Whether pursuing an administrative career or seeking MOS certification, graduates emerge with the proficiency needed to excel.

An administrative assistant, also known as an executive assistant, office manager, or secretary, supports an organization, department, group, or executive by performing administrative tasks.
