May 06, 2026 Maxine Chacon and Mariah Vasquez are recipients of the Longenecker & Associates Scholarship Two Northern New Mexico College (NNMC) students have received generous $5,000 scholarships from Longenecker & Associates: A Geosyntec Company (L&A). Maxine Chacon and Mariah Vasquez are recipients of the 2026 scholarships, which are awarded to students pursuing a career in a field that supports L&A's missions at Los Alamos and Sandia National laboratories, such as project management, business and support functions. Both recipients are pursuing Business Administration degrees.

Apr 17, 2026 Two Northern New Mexico College students receive N3B scholarships Pursuing their degrees just got a little easier for Esperanza Gonzales and Josiah Martinez, two Northern New Mexico College recipients of the Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) Danny Nichols and Dennis Huddleston Memorial Scholarship. These two remarkable students have persevered despite major obstacles throughout their lives. Now one obstacle is removed. Gonzales, Martinez and University of New Mexico-Los Alamos student Jimmy Gurule will each receiving a $9,000 scholarship to ease their financial burdens.
